A Slam Pad is an inexpensive way increasing your magazine’s overall length. The extra length is usually required when using a magwell. Since the Slam Pads are made of rubber, the pads will offer your magazines a little protection when your magazines are dropped during a reloads.
The two-hole design of this product will allow it to fit all XD and XD(m) magazines, regardless of caliber, as well as many brands of magazines beyond Springfield magazines. This product is too wide for XD Slim magazines.
- Sold in a pack of five (5).
- Each pad includes a pressure sensitive adhesive
- Thickness: 0.250″
- Too large for XD Slim Magazines

I bought some of these because we shoot indoors a lot. I was hoping that the rubber pad would save my mags a bit. They work very well and now when the magazine hits the concrete, I don’t cringe. The adhesive is pretty strong.

The .250 slam pads are perfect for IDPA for both operator magwells on my XD and XDM. For the XDM, this is the pad you need to fit the IDPA box. Easy to put on, take just a few seconds.

Using these on an XDm 5.25 (9mm) with an Operator magwell… combination works fantastic and it “fits in the box”… I don’t think the 3/8 pads would fit in the box on my gun; the 1/4 inches make it, but with little room to spare. Highly recommend these; along with the Operator magwell my times are much faster…

pads work well to protect your hand and the magazines, but the adhesive doesn’t work very well

The adhesive used on this product is very aggressive. That said, if your base plate has any oil, grease, or dirt, adhesion will be affected. If is very important that your base plate are cleaned and degrease BEFORE you apply the Slam Pad to your base plate. Even brand new magazines need to be cleaned and degrease before installation.
